The DGS-3100-24 switch includes 2 dedicated HDMI stacking ports, each providing 5 Gbps stacking bandwidth. Up to 6 units can be stacked up in a linear or fault-tolerant ring topology, for up to 20 Gbps overall system bandwidth in full-duplex, bi-directional mode. A stack can be made up of any switch in the series, with up to 24 SFP fiber links.
	The DGS-3100-24 includes many security features including Access Control Lists (ACLs), 802.1X Port-Based/MAC-Based Access Control and 802.1X Guest VLAN so that network access is available only to authorised users. To enhance network resilience, the DGS-3100-24 supports Spanning Tree protocols, including 802.1D, 802.1w and 802.1s for redundant bridge paths.
Network administrators can define throughput levels for each port to manage bandwidth. Fine granularity down to 64 Kbps can be achieved. For Quality of Service (QoS), the switch supports 802.1p Priority Queues and packet classification based on TOS, DSCP, MAC, IP, VLAN ID and L4 protocol types, to ensure that critical network services like VoIP, ERP, Intranet and video conference are prioritised.
