The Mitsubishi XD221U-ST(D) Ultra Short-Throw Projector with eBeam Edge is a highly versatile and accommodating multimedia and data projector. At only seven pounds (3.2kg), it can be used in both mobile and stationary applications. It features Mitsubishi's Brilliant Color technology, which enhances color reproduction, resulting in clear and vivid images. It also features 3D ready technology, which will let you use 3D in presentations and entertainment. This unit thrives in any training situation and can be connected to a network for multiple simultaneous presentations. Many units can be run from one central location, but it also works great on its own.

The projector is bundled with eBeam Edge for Education. This small, lightweight, and rugged road warrior fits comfortably in any laptop case and activates an area large enough to accommodate any projected image-including high-definition. Navigate, annotate, and manipulate computer applications from the board and take advantage of the impressive range of tools included in the eBeam software. Import multimedia including interactive Flash files and search and access the virtually unlimited supply of online images via the eBeam gallery.

The XD221U-ST(D) has several inputs that increase its flexibility. There are dual PC inputs so that two computers can be connected at the same time. There is a LAN terminal for linking with a network and a serial terminal for RS-232C connection. The video and S-video terminals are paired with two 3.5mm mini jack audio inputs. There is a monitor output and an audio output as well. The audio output allows you to run the sound through a more substantial speaker system.

Although there is an audio out, the XD221U-ST(D) is more than capable of producing loud enough sound for any presentation. The unit has a built-in 10W high-volume speaker. There is also an audio mix option, which works well for connecting the wireless microphone (sold separately). This ensures the presenter's voice is reproduced loud and clear. The fact that the fan noise is low, only 26 dBA, means there won't be too much annoying interference with the audio.
