Are you thinking about getting the Logitech Meetup or do you have a few questions on what to expect if you purchase the product?
Then you are in luck.
Because in this article, I will share some answers to some of the frequently asked questions about the Logitech Meetup.
But first why Logitech Meetup?
The Logitech Meetup 4k Conference camera was designed by Logitech to solve the challenge of small meeting room video conferencing equipment.
Logitech is an audio and video conferencing company known for its high-quality tool for large rooms. So, like other businesses, Logitech has teams in different locations and thereby saw the need for a video conferencing camera that targets small meeting rooms.
Most of the cameras available were designed for mid to large conference rooms but the Logitech Meetup conferencecam solves the core challenge of a small meeting room - with a 120° FOV Lens to offer a wide field of view without distortion.
This way, it captures everyone in the room including participants closest to the camera. This gives small groups something new to conduct smaller meetings so you can enjoy rich conferencing features compared to the tiny laptop screen.
1: Is a Logitech MeetUp plug and play?
Logitech MeetUp is a premium conference camera with a 120° to 170° super-wide field of view, ultra HD 4k optics, three cameras presets, and a low-distortion lens that is great for huddle rooms and small conference rooms. It comes with a USB plug-and-play feature that makes it super easy to connect to any kind of video conferencing application software or cloud services, even the ones you already use on your personal computer or other devices.
2: How do I set up Logitech MeetUp?
Setting up a Logitech meetup is quite easy once you know the different parts and their functions. The parts you should look out for when you open up your box are:
- A tripod stand with collapsible legs that can extend up to 5 feet
- Wall mounting bracket and wall mounting hardware
- MeetUp is the main video conferencing device. It has a camera at the center, microphone, and speakers by the sides, and an adapter at the bottom for easy mounting on the tripod
- A remote control
- A 5 meter USB cable
- A power cable/adapter
First, connect the power cable to the MeetUp and a power source, connect the USB cable to the MeetUp and your computer and mount the MeetUp on the tripod, or the wall. You can also mount it to the TV or place it on a table or shelf close to the monitor.
To operate the MeetUp, use the remote. The buttons on it allow you to start and end the call, mute and unmute yourself, zoom in and zoom out, pan/tilt, adjust volume, and save presets.
Then lastly, adjust the settings in your video conferencing software. Select "Logitech MeetUp" for your camera, and select "Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Logitech MeetUp)" for your microphone and speakers.
3: Does Logitech MeetUp have optical zoom?
Logitech MeetUp camera lens is designed to capture a wide-angle 120-degree field of view with little to no distortions and can pan or tilt an additional 25 degrees to the right or left, covering a total of 170 degrees. Sadly, it does not have optical zoom, but it does boast of a digital zoom of up to 5x. Any attempt to increase the zoom option above 5x will result in a loss of image quality.

7: How do I install MeetUp?
Installing your MeetUp depends on where you want to place it. You can either install it on a wall using the wall mounting bracket and hardware provided in the box or mount it to a TV. This works well if you're looking for a more stable and permanent setup. But if you intend on moving your MeetUp around from one room to another or for travel purposes, then it's best to go for a tripod or place it on a table or shelf.
To install on the wall, you'll need to attach the brackets to the wall using the appropriate screws for your wall type, then attach the camera to the bracket. If you're mounting it on a TV you'll have to get a separate bracket that is not included in the box but can be bought online. The TV bracket may come with its own set of bolts and screws depending on the type of TV, but if not, you can use the screws for the wall.
It is recommended to place the camera as close to eye level as possible. For best results mount the camera below the TV or monitor.
