Cisco CISCO2851-AC-IP Cisco 2851 Integrated Services Router Description
The Cisco CISCO2851-AC-IP is a member of the Cisco 2800 Series which offers high-performance improvement, increased security and voice performance, embedded service options, and dramatically increased slot performance and density compared to earlier generations of Cisco routers while maintaining support for the majority of the more than ninety (90) existing modules that are currently available for the Cisco 1700, Cisco 2600, and Cisco 3700 Series.
The CISCO2851-AC-IP router features high-density interfaces for various wireless and wired connectivity needs, enough performance and slot density for future network expansion needs and advanced applications, embedded encryption acceleration, on-motherboard voice digital-signal-processor (DSP) slots, intrusion prevention system (IPS) and firewall functions, optional integrated call processing, and voice mail support.
Converged IP Communications :
The CISCO2851-AC-IP provides an industry-leadership level of security inside a single routing platform while simultaneously meeting the IP Communications needs of small-to-medium-sized businesses and enterprise branch offices. Incorporated as an optional solution within the Cisco IOS software, Cisco Call Manager Express (CME) enables call processing for Cisco IP phones, including wired and cordless WLAN phones. Users who need data connectivity and want to build a convergent IP telephony solution for up to 96 IP phones should use this solution.
