CISCO3945/K9 Cisco 3945 Integrated Service Router Description
The Cisco CISCO3945/K9 is the next development in network implementation for small businesses to large enterprises. This router provides great performance, flexibility, and investment protection while maximizing operational cost reductions in media cooperation and virtualization. Time-division multiplexing (TDM) connections, expanding bandwidth needs, and fully integrated power distribution to modules supporting 802.3af PoE and Cisco ePoE are all supported by the modular architecture of the CISCO3945/K9. The majority of the modules that were available on the 3800 Series Integrated Services Routers of the previous generation are supported by this router.
A robust signaling and media-processing infrastructure, which includes a number of protocols, media interworking, signal and media security, transcoding, conferencing, and QoS, enables unified communications. The router offers a wide variety of signaling and physical network interfaces, as well as a large range of voice-gateway interfaces. It supports Gigabit Ethernet over wired and wireless connections using T1/E1, T3/E3, xDSL, copper, and fiber.
Cisco IOS:
CISCO3945/K9 Cisco 3945 Router is integrated with Cisco IOS Universal image which covers all of the router's functionality. The IOS allows users to enable advanced features by activating software licenses (separately sold) on the universal image. Technology packages and feature licenses, enabled through the Cisco software licensing infrastructure, simplify software delivery and decrease the operational costs of deploying new features.
Modular Platform:
With a field-upgradable motherboard, users can expand their existing networks while boosting router performance. In addition, a broad variety of LAN and WAN connectivity options provided by modules enables users to upgrade their networks in the field without having to replace the router itself for new technologies.
