For convenient aiming and positioning, the M45 Aimable Shotgun Ceiling Microphone (White) from Audix is designed with a swivel and pivot base that provides stability in conference rooms, lecture halls, and classrooms. The M45 microphone offers compatibility with Dante networks with a super-cardioid polar pattern that provides better isolation from room noise and nearby instruments; and can be more resistant to feedback. It is optimised for vocal intelligibility and supports integrated preamp for high sensitivity and low noise thanks to the immunity from RF interference. This microphone comes with a mic-level signal and LED control, which is over an RJ45 port.
In addition, it is easy to install in a 1-1/2” hole with no additional tools required. The microphone can cover an area approximately 15' wide and up to 25' deep according to the acoustics of the room. The M45 microphone provides a connection of RJ45 to an 8-conductor pluggable terminal lock and requires phantom power for operation.
Dante Network
The M45 Aimable Shotgun Ceiling Microphone (White) from Audix offers compatibility with Dante Network for easy collaboration in conference rooms, lecture halls, classrooms, and other public meeting spaces. For those using Dante networks, the optional Audix DN4 Enhanced Onramp for Dante | AES67 supports up to four devices and includes LED logic control.
Super-cardioid Polar Pattern
The featured super-cardioid polar pattern in the M45 microphone allows for a tighter directionality of sound pick-up in conference rooms, lecture halls, and classrooms. On-axis directionality of a super-cardioid polar pattern is reduced, meaning the side sensitivity of 98 mV / Pa @ 1 kHz as provided in the M45 microphone and a maximum SPL (Sound Processing Level) of >124 dB. The M45 microphone is programmed to reject side sources creating a very dry recording, excellent for mixing with effects in post-production. Effectively eliminate side-facing sound sources and capture a small amount of rear sound for added depth to your sound.

The microphone can cover an audio coverage area approximately 15' wide and up to 25' deep according to the acoustics of the room.
