Audix M55WD Hanging Ceiling Microphone Description
The M55WD microphone from Audix is a hanging ceiling microphone designed for the Audix Dante AES67 integrated microphone system (sold separately). The microphone delivers Hi-output that allows for distance miking in video teleconferencing, distance learning, boardrooms, surveillance, hospital and medical procedures, and ambient room miking applications. It is also optimised for voice recognition, providing quality audio at the DSP, and features a two-colour LED status indicator. The signal output is balanced to eliminate RF interference caused by cell phones and mobile devices. The microphone is supported by RJ45 connectors through a single Cat 5 to Cat 7 at both interfaces. Installing the M55WD requires just one 5/8" hole in the ceiling, with no additional tools needed. The M55WD eliminates wiring errors, accelerates installation, and allows all microphone gain structures to be optimised.

The Dante system offers microphone functions such as on-off contact closure and LED status indicators – through a single CAT5 – CAT7 cable with RJ45 connections at both the interface and microphone.
Quick Installation process
The M55WD microphone offers a quick installation process that makes it easy to install without drilling a hole in your conference or application room ceiling. An optional aiming clip (MCHANGER) easily makes any additional angular adjustments. The mounting hardware adjusts the hanging height up to four feet from the ceiling surface without removing ceiling tiles and allows for fingertip height adjustment and rotation control.
