Shopping in a retail store is interesting but may be challenging due to the queue and delays at the checkout point. However, there is a new solution for a smooth checkout experience. The Magellan 3550HSi series of scanners offers 1D, 2D, and Digimarc digital watermark reading for quick image recognition and scanning, specially designed for retail stores, helping them scan challenging barcodes in order to enhance shopping experiences. This high performance image barcode scanner offers both presentation and sweep scanning technique. This means that scanning can be done on any product only by presenting such product to the scanner’s surface; or scan by making a sweeping effect. It scans objects in no time and helps improve speedy checkout experience.
This versatile barcode scanner is always ready to scan and register a product's barcode. The optional Magellan Customer Service Scanner (CSS) enables retailers to easily engage their customers in mobile commerce programmes, allowing them to scan barcodes directly from mobile phone screens or paper coupons while the cashier continues to scan regular items in parallel, resulting in a significant reduction in total transaction time.
Easy Deployment
The Magellan 3500HSi Scanner is designed to deliver a horizontal scanning technique. It can be embedded into a checkout table to give a stress-free and smooth scanning experience by either presenting items onto the image sensor panel or using a sweep technique. It reduces the time customers have to spend at the checkout point. This high performance scanner scans items immediately, making it possible to scan as many items as possible.
