WorkForce ES-300W Portable Document Scanner Description
Epson's WorkForce ES-300W Wireless Portable Duplex Document Scanner allows you to take your scanning on the go. The ES-300W is designed to travel and may be powered by an internal battery, a USB connection, or a normal AC adapter. It also has Wi-Fi for wireless setup with your computer or mobile device. This scanner is exceptionally capable in terms of scanning, with an optical resolution of 600 dpi, an internal color depth of 48-bit, and scan speeds of up to 25 ppm. Furthermore, the 20-sheet ADF supports single-pass duplexing at a rate of 50 ipm.
The ES-300W includes Epson Image Processing Technology, which automatically adjusts photos as they are stored to provide the highest quality scans. The ADF will accept a wide range of document types and sizes, ranging from 2 x 2.75" to 8.5 x 44". It has a daily duty cycle of 500 pages and a standard USB 3.0 connection for added durability.
The WorkForce ES-300W compact duplex document scanner keeps you organized at the workplace and on the go, with the quickest scan speeds in its class. Scan 2-sided documents, business cards, and receipts wirelessly to laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Using the integrated Epson ScanSmart Software, you can easily scan to cloud storage accounts, searchable PDFs, and editable Word and Excel files. The versatile ES-300W features a 20-page Auto Document Feeder and can scan up to 25 ppm/50 ipm in batch mode. Epson Image Processing Technology, which is built into the printer, allows for sophisticated color and image modifications. You can also use AC, battery, or USB power for maximum versatility. Other Epson goods are not included. Performance:
Epson rates the ES-300W for simplex (single-sided) scans at 25 pages per minute (ppm) and duplex (double-sided) scans at 50 images per minute (ipm, where each scan, or page side, represents one picture). The ES-300W hardware was not only rapid in testing, but so was the software when saving our test scans to image and searchable PDF formats. (I tested Epson Scan over USB 3.0 at 300dpi from our Core I5 testbed PC running Windows 10 Professional.) The scanner itself scanned at 28.6ppm and 54.5ipm, significantly beyond its recommendations, without the lag time required to transfer our test scans to a workable file format.
