It's Mac HFS+ formatted for optimal compatibility with the Mac OS, and is 100% TimeMachine compatible, making it ideal for data backups. The drive offers a full 1.0 TB of data storage capacity and features both SuperSpeed USB 3.0 (backwards compatible with 2.0) and FireWire 800 interfaces, for maximum data transfer rates of 5.0 Gbps and 800 Mbps, respectively.
