ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Photo Printer Description
Envy 7855 is matte black with glossy black accents, measuring 7.6 by 17.9 by 19.8 inches (HWD) and weighing 17 pounds. A 3.5-inch colour touchscreen is housed in the tilt-up front panel. You may scan, copy, or fax multipage documents up to legal size with the 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF). The Envy 7855 can print or scan a USB thumb drive or SD memory card. It is compatible with HP's ePrint, which allows you to email even if you're on the other side of the planet, you may send files as attachments to a unique address that HP assigns to the printer, and it will print them out. Ethernet, USB, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth are all supported, and the printer may use HP Wireless Direct or Bluetooth to establish a direct peer-to-peer connection. The HP Smart app on your iOS or Android mobile device can be used to set up the 7855 for wireless printing via a Bluetooth connection.
Ink Instant Program:
HP's Instant Ink Program is available for this printer, allowing users to have their printer alert HP when it runs out of ink and have a new cartridge supplied to their door for a nominal monthly cost. The printer alerts you and immediately orders more when you run out of ink. This approach ensures that you always have a cartridge on hand and eliminates the need to continually check ink levels.
Best For Photo:
The photo quality is a little better than average. In the monochrome test photo, the 7855 performed an excellent job of keeping the black and avoiding a tinge. It serves a better job by distinguishing between slight changes in shading in a couple of prints. The colours are vibrant, saturated, and snappy. The good black printing matches what HP claims is a new ink composition which provides more excellent photo quality than usual for a printer with only two ink cartridges.
Understated And Improved:
The Envy 7855 is fashionable but subtly and modestly. Since we last reviewed an Envy printer, its speed, feature set, and photo quality have improved. The 7855 is worth considering if you need to scan multipage documents and print high-quality photographs.
