Compared to most smoke alarms, the Kidde KN-COSM-IBA excels at detecting carbon monoxide. It is a reliable, intelligent sensor technology device equipped with an ionization smoke sensor that can detect smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide. The alarm changes how sensitive it is to smoke based on what it finds. This constant communication makes the alarm work better in all fires and makes it less likely to go off for no reason.
The hard-wired security system comes with two sensors, a hush button, and an effective alert system. The red LED will flash when a dangerous level of smoke or carbon monoxide is detected. For fire detection, the red LED will flash and beep three times, followed by a verbal warning that reads “FIRE!” This pattern will repeat until the smoke is eliminated. In the case of a CO level of 100 ppm or higher, the unit will warn "CARBON MONOXIDE PREVIOUSLY DETECTED" if the Test/Reset button is pressed.
