The slim and lightweight 14" ThinkPad T450s Ultrabook from Toshiba is designed for business users who require portability, but is also well suited for general use. The system is powered by a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i5-5200U Dual-Core processor that allows you to run multiple applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the processor can be overclocked to 2.7 GHz and the system's 4GB of 1600 MHz PC3-12800 DDR3L RAM allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and programs. The RAM comes in a configuration of one 4GB chip that is soldered to the system's motherboard. A second 204-pin SO-DIMM socket is also available and can support memory amounts up to 16GB, for a system total of 20GB of RAM.
Like other ThinkPads, the T450s comes with two different pointing devices: a touchpad and a TrackPoint pointing stick. I prefer the TrackPoint, because it offers much more precise navigation, allowing me to highlight text, click small icons and zoom from one side of the screen to the other, without having to lift my hands off of the home row.
