The NETGEAR wifi 6 PoE + Access Point provides 802.11ax high-performance wireless connectivity for Small Office and Home Office (SOHO) deployments. It is ideal for retail showrooms, lobbies and waiting areas at healthcare and other professional offices. It supports dual-band concurrent wifi 6 operations at 2.4GHz and 5GHz with a combined throughput of 1.8Gbps (600Mbps at 2.4GHz and 1200Mbps at 5GHz). The WAX214 wifi 6 Access Point offers a standalone configuration with a simple setup for a dependable, high-performance solution.
The compact, plastic cuboid with a lightly textured finish on the top and a metallic finish underneath has four status lights (for 2.4GHz, 5GHz, Ethernet, mains power) flash on the top, beneath the Netgear logo. When you turn it around, you'll find wall-mounting hooks, a gigabit Ethernet port, the main adapter port, and a reset button. The Ethernet port supports PoE (Power over Ethernet), so you can connect it to an Ethernet switch, which is helpful if you want to hang or mount it where main sockets are scarce, or main adapter won't reach.
It provides a fast wireless access point with features that can be configured to boost your workspace in terms of coverage and security, allowing you to keep your guests and customers connected while keeping your back-office network separate and secured. It is PoE-enabled and can be mounted to a ceiling or wall, making it less visible and more secure for customers. The WAX214 can be powered via Ethernet or a DC power adapter.
