RODE SoundField NT-SF1 Ambisonic Microphone Description

Experience a new level to audio coverage with the 'SoundField by RØDE' NT-SF1, a peerless ambisonic microphone that is designed for optimal audio coverage in any application, be it in music recording industry, virtual reality, film production, sound effect recording or for video games. Featuring four 1/2" TF45C cardioid condenser capsules, sophisticatedly arranged in a tetrahedral array discreet design with higher grades of technologies that are engineered to capture generous and honest sound, the NT-SF1 ensures transparency and large frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz in real-time audio collaborations. Each capsule operates on a 48V DC phantom power, supporting four-channel audio through 10-pin XLR connectors.

Furthermore, through a downloadable SoundField by Rode ambisonic processor plug-in, you can easily manage the microphone’s operations and features, including B-format management of the built-in polar patterns and output format.

For impressive audio coverage assurance, this microphone comes along in the box with a custom shock mount, a spherical windscreen, a furry wind cover, and a breakout cable that converts the XLR 10-pin output to four standard XLR 3-pin connectors.

Record Everything

From indoor to outdoor usage, be it in a training centre, street speech conveyance, for recordings in the film or music industry, the 'Soundfield by RØDE' NT-SF1 is ready for audio coverage at stance. It records the entire spherical sound fields from all audio directions in perfect A-Format™ audio which can be converted to B-Format™ audio and then manipulated to a specific extent using the downloadable 'Soundfield by RØDE' plug-in. For use in open spaces where wind stands as an interference, shield up the NT-SF1 with the included furry wind cover, and achieve a natural, transparent, smooth audio experience.
