Sennheiser ADN C1 Gooseneck Microphone Description
The ADN C1 Gooseneck Microphone from Sennheiser comes with the digital chairperson unit of the Sennheiser Audio Distribution Network, offering high speech intelligibility equipped with a super-cardioid capsule encapsulated in modern industrial design. This microphone features a DSP limiter that allows you to set level threshold values, ensuring that the signal level cannot exceed a specific range. The ADN C1 is highly supported by a high-performance dual loudspeaker system that guarantees a homogenous sound level in the meeting room. The cabling of the unit, which is CAT5 cable via RJ45 sockets and conveniently hidden by the provided hidden cable connections, can be optionally secured with strain reliefs for fixed installations. For permanent installations, a cable strain relief adapter may be attached to the base of the unit. This adapter prevents the cables from being accidentally pulled out.
ADN C1 microphone features a flexible 15" length gooseneck microphone for capturing audio within the base for audio playback. The microphone unit gives the chairperson control over the list of delegates who have requested to speak when the conference system is set in request mode. The chairperson grants permission to the next person on the request-to-speak list by pressing the next button. At any time, the chairperson can mute and speak over any delegate simply by pressing and holding the priority key button.
Super-Cardioid Capsule
The ADN C1 gooseneck microphone features a super-cardioid capsule to reduce unwanted ambient noise efficiently while capturing sound in front of the microphone. A super-cardioid capsule provides better isolation from room noise and nearby instruments and can be more resistant to feedback, but it requires the user to maintain a more consistent position directly in front of the mic. With this, participants in the meeting enjoy quality audio delivery without noise interference.
Microphone Control Key Button
The ADN C1 features a chairperson control key to the microphone. The control key button includes a key button, the next button, and a priority button. When the system is set to direct access or override mode, you simply press and hold down the microphone key button at the base of the unit to speak, and you will be added to the list of speakers who are waiting to speak. When the request mode is active, the chairperson can grant permission to speak to the next person on the request-to-speak list by pressing the next button. The chairperson may mute all the delegates from speaking and speak over them by pressing and holding the priority button.
Hidden Cable Connector
Never be worried about cable cluttering in your meeting room with the ADN C1 goose microphone that provides a hidden cable connection. The Cat 5 cables connect to the bottom of the conference unit. For listening with headphones, the unit includes a 3.5mm headphone jack with volume control, the hidden cable connector ensures that the provided jacks are not visible.
