The Sharp PG-LX2000 XGA 3D Projector has a native XGA resolution and as its display chip has a DLP chip that delivers highly-accurate color reproduction in both 3D and 2D. An output of 2800 lumens provides the brightness to put out such accuracy, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio affords blacker blacks and thus more sharpness to fully appreciate the 1024 x 768 XGA pixel count in.
Important to a projector is its connections, and the LX features among its set an HDMI input that you can connect HDTVs by, a VGA input to connect a computer by, and RCA inputs to connect speaker systems to, and whatever you can connect, its signal you can project (of course, except the speaker signal).
The maximum picture size you can project is a diagonal 25 ft (in a 4:3 aspect ratio), and the minimum is 3.3 ft. To get the max size, you'd need to position the LX at 46 ft away, and for the minimum you'd need to get 3.3 ft close.
At 5.1 lbs, the LX can portably be moved from table-top to table-top or it can be ceiling-mounted by way of a separately-sold bracket. The estimated life of its lamp is 5000 hours when used in Eco Mode, and after the 5000, the lamp can easily be replaced -- accessible from the top of the LX, the lamp is convenient to reach, to remove, and to replace, whether you have the LX sitting on a table or mounted on a ceiling (as it mounts upside-down).
