Shure MX391 Microflex Omnidirectional Boundary Microphone Description
Shure MX391, a Microflex Omnidirectional Boundary Microphone with a black finish, offers suitability for recording applications in boardrooms and other application rooms to deliver superior audio quality reproduction. The microphone is designed to pick up speech that preserves intelligibility and features an omnidirectional pickup pattern for audio reproduction. The microphone provides an interchangeable mic capsule tailored for speech and vocals. Shure microphone comes with an in-line preamp with XLR output and is designed in a slim, compact design appearance.
Omnidirectional Pick-up Pattern
The condenser microphone features an omnidirectional pick-up pattern that is optimised for crisp, crystal-clear speech. The microphone's omnidirectional pickup pattern captures sound from all around the mic, allowing more than one person to use a single microphone. With an interchangeable mic capsule, you can easily swap out the omnidirectional capsule for a cardioid capsule (if you need a narrower pickup pattern) or a supercardioid capsule (for a very narrow pickup pattern).
Inline Preamp with XLR Output
MX391 microphone comes with an inline preamp that features a standard 3-pin XLR output that enables you to plug the microphone into a PA system, mixer, or recorder. The microphone XLR output is capable of supplying 12 to 48 volts of phantom power needed to power the microphone. The inline preamp offers a high level of RF filtering, making the microphone less susceptible to unwanted radio interference that might hinder clear sound reproduction.
Low-Profile Design
Designed in a low-profile compact design, the microphone can be quickly and easily surface-mounted on conference tables, and lecterns. The design of the microphone allows it to stay almost invisible and stay out of the way of presenters, making it a smart solution for video conferencing. The MX391 does not offer mute switches, so speakers cannot mute themselves—the microphone is always ready to capture every moment in a panel discussion or presentation.
