The 31 dBi RD-5G31-AC RocketDish airMAX Carrier Class 2x2 PtP Bridge Dish Antenna fromUbiquiti Networks helps create powerful 2x2 Point-to-Point (PtP) bridging and network backhaul applications when paired with a Rocket5ac base station (available separately). The RD-5G31-AC features high isolation and front-to-back (f/b) ratio which, together with the antenna's low sidelobes, reduces the interference from other transmitters in the area.

The signal-to-noise ratio allows a higher-order modulation to be used, for example 256QAM rather than 16QAM, increasing the number of bits-per-second for a fixed bandwidth. For corrosion resistance, the dish and mounting brackets are powder-coated, and the fasteners are made of stainless steel.
When paired with a basestation, the Ubiquiti Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol can be enabled to allow each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller. The time-slot method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency.
