NETGEAR XSM4324S Description
The NETGEAR XSM4324S provides 10G Ethernet (100/1000/10000) RJ-45 Ethernet ports, with an L2/L3 switch layer. It is capable of switching at 480 Gbit/s. It also has 12 Basic switching RJ-45 Ethernet ports and 1 USB 2.0 port. It is a stackable switch that offers mid-enterprise edge services at a low cost and supports complete PoE+ and SMB core deployments. Advanced High Availability (HA) with hitless failover throughout the stack is provided by virtual chassis architectures with non-stop forwarding (NSF).
In order to provide business continuity management, it provides full-width models with dual redundant, modular power supply. Static, dynamic, and policy-based routing are all included in the Layer 3 feature set by default. With Software-defined Network (SDN) and OpenFlow 1.3 enabled for your network, the NETGEAR XSM4324S Switch is ideal for wireless access, unified communications, and IP video.
For greater flexibility, and stronger investment protection at a cost-effective rate, the NETGEAR XSM4324S Intelligent Edge Switch solutions combine the most recent advancements in hardware and software architecture.
Reliable Stacking Capability
With any 10G port and any media type (RJ45, SFP+, or DAC cables), the NETGEAR XSM4324S is flexible enough to handle mixed stacking of 10G and 1G models. High availability is one of the stackable solutions' key point of differentiation. In the event of a master switch failure, NSF and hitless failover ensure that the standby switch takes control while the forwarding plane keeps on seamlessly forwarding traffic on the operating stack members.
Higher Flexibility
A single rack space can accommodate the pairing of two half-width M4300 switches for redundant Top of Rack deployments with Auto-iSCSI priority. All 10 Gigabit ports are independent and 1 Gigabit backward compatible, enabling a gradual upgrade to 10 Gigabit speeds. The Authentication Manager supports several authentication methods per port for consecutive tiering depending on set time-outs. Captive Portal authentication is powerful and simple to implement with strict policies.
