RODE PinMic Wearable Microphone Description
The PinMic Wearable Microphone from RØDE is designed in an ultra-discreet unique pin-through design suitable for recording applications, live sound, and broadcast applications. The microphone features an omnidirectional polar pattern with a 1.2m (4’) detachable capsule capable of picking up sound with 360-degree coverage. Featuring a 1.5mm (regular) or 3mm (long) pin length, the microphone provides Kevlar-reinforced shielded cable that is extremely durable and a backplate system that allows you to attach the capsule to the three pins on the backplate. The PinMic supports MiCon connectors for universal compatibility with recording devices as well as allows connectivity to a wide range of wireless systems, consoles, and cameras. The microphone includes a mini furry, hard case, spare capsule, and PinMic toolkit.
PinMic Setup
RØDE PinMic features a detachable capsule and a backplate system. The detachable capsule head can be easily mounted onto three pins on the microphone backplate, allowing you to simply place the backplate to the inside of clothing or other material, and reattach the capsule to the three pins on the backplate. The MiCon connector system provides seamless integration between all of RØDE's compact wearable microphones and a wide range of wireless systems, making it universally compatible with recording devices, consoles, and cameras.
Omnidirectional Removable Capsule
Comprised of a removable omnidirectional capsule head that can be mounted onto any clothing or fabric, the PinMic omnidirectional capsule is super versatile, which enables flexible mounting in all applications. The omnidirectional polar pattern in the microphone has 360-degree coverage and captures audio from all directions of the application room.
Accessory Kit Functions
The PinMic features an anti-trauma water-resistant storage case that provides rugged and secure protection of the microphone and a mini-furry for high wind protection of the microphone, allowing you to record even in harsh weather conditions. The included shielded Kevlar® reinforced cable with a molded backplate that enables flexible attachment of the microphone to your clothing, allows for easy concealment of the microphone. Having a lapel-style cable management clip helps clip the microphone to your lapel and assists you to manage your microphone cable properly. The sanitary cleansing wipes are used to clean the microphone of specks of dirt or dust.
