Featuring a lightweight design with extra soft cushions for extended wearability and a dynamic hypercardioid-patterned microphone for clear audio capture, the Sennheiser HMD 26-ii-600-8 is a professional broadcast headset designed for comfort and performance in demanding environments. A flexible section of the boom adjusts the positioning of the microphone, and the entire boom assembly rotates for use on the left or right side of the user's head.
This stereo supra-aural headset has a closed-back design and is designed for high maximum sound-pressure level as well as passive noise attenuation. Users have the option to activate or deactivate the ActiveGard limiter to shield their ears from abrupt volume surges above 105 dB. The microphone-free earcup can be flipped backwards for one-sided listening. The Sennheiser HMD 26-ii-600-8 comes with a 4.9' steel wire cable that has a coiled section to reduce noise as well as unterminated connections, which allow you to use the connector of your choosing.

This technology detects excessive signals and reacts by initiating a compression process that occurs in just a few milliseconds—faster than the human ear, thereby protecting hearing from sudden loud noises. The incoming signal is compressed in one controlled operation so that there is virtually no distortion of the signal - the more powerful the incoming signal, the more powerfully the system compresses. ActiveGard Technology keeps the volume at a comfortable level, even if the incoming signal is a sound burst well in excess of the limit.
